President & CEO, Air Canada Jazz

 

Joseph D. Randell is the President and CEO of Air Canada Jazz, which was formed in 2001 with the consolidation of AirBC, Air Ontario, Air Nova and Canadian Regional Airlines. Joe began his career in the airline industry with Eastern Provincial Airways in 1976, and helped to found Air Nova in 1985 and served as its President and CEO.

In 1999 he led the consolidation of Air Nova and Air Alliance, the eastern-based Air Canada regional carriers and under his direction, further consolidation led to the creation of Air Canada Jazz. Joe is the President of Air Transport Association of Canada and is a past President of the Metropolitan Halifax Chamber of Commerce. In 1992, Joe was a recipient of the Governor General's Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation and in 1995, he was honoured with the National Transportation Week Award of Excellence.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering Degree with distinction from the Technical University of Nova Scotia and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Memorial University in Newfoundland.
